I used my new suction cup mount on yesterday’s run to take some pictures while driving. When I got home and started sifting through them, I realized I (barely) had enough for a short QuickTime movie. I took the 146 still shots and created a new QuickTime movie, and then brought that into iMovie so I could add a soundtrack. It isn’t much (in fact, it’s so silly I’m wondering why I bothered…), but I’ll probably try to do more like this in the future.

Saturday, January 27th, 2007Ostensibly, we were going to check out Pete’s tint, but we all knew it was just an excuse to drive and eat.
Despite the fairly crap weather, we attacked some good twisties, heard some good music, and ate well. Thanks everyone!

The profit from this vehicle went to a USA company.
What country did your vehicle support?
Ok, let’s just ignore for a second that the profit from the sale of your vehicle didn’t go solely to a “USA company”, but also to international companies that provided components. You can be certain China and Mexico saw a cut, even if the majority did go to fly Mark Fields back to Florida every weekend. But now let’s think about the dozens of gallons of dino-juice you pump through your King Ranch Edition F-250 every time you fill up. Who do you think sees that profit? Saudi Arabia? Kuwait? Now if instead Mr. America here were driving a Camry, wouldn’t he still be supporting American workers (in Toyota’s auto plants) while reducing (perhaps by 60% or more) his oil consumption and therefore his support of countries that our county’s currently giving the hairy eyeball to?
